I worked on this project for a full two years. During this time, I created a series of images through which I attempted to tell the stories of each of us. I aimed to portray our present as I see it as an artist and a regular Ukrainian. Therefore, each card is my personal pain and my belief that the sun of a new day will inevitably rise.

The project combines images of the Revolution of Dignity and the Russian-Ukrainian war with the classical iconography of the Rider-Waite Tarot as interpreted by Pamela Colman Smith. The author’s style is inspired by traditional Ukrainian woodcarving, traditional icon painting, and Francisco Goya’s series of etchings “The Disasters of War.”

The deck consists of both Major and Minor Arcana, totaling 78 cards. The set includes a collection of handwritten epigraphs for each card.
